A bit about me! I live in Charlottesville.  Pantops to be exact.   I have been pet sitting since 2018. My main focus for my business is to take great care of your furry loved ones! From the moment I start a petsit, I think of your fur kids as my very own. I follow your instructions and try not to disrupt their daily routine.  I just let them enjoy being spoiled.

I have been an animal lover literally since I was born. My parents had 3 cats and when I was 4, we rescued a pregnant soon to be mommy cat.  Soon after, our house was overtaken by cute little furry feet.

When I was 8, we moved to a farm. We soon had horses, cows (2 milk and 2 to 3 steers), chickens, 2 dogs and 5 cats inside and lots of barn cats that had a cozy kitty area upstairs in the loft. I helped take care of all of the animals. Anything on 4 legs was my friend, including a resident skunk that to a friendly fancy to my Maine Coon cat named killer   Never sprayed me even one time

For the majority of my adult life I was a retail management professional. In 2003-2006 I directed a small feline only humane society.  There I had many hats. Other than the Directors role, I managed the humane society, boots on the ground. I cleaned, advertised, created all the internal computer SOP's. I studied and became a shelter vet tech, which is an unlicensed vet tech; who can only legally vet animals in the humane society while they are employed there. After they leave, they are no longer legally able to be a vet tech. The family that started the humane society decided to move out of the state, close their facility and give the building, the cats, all the equipment, etc to Madison Greene Humane Socitey. They were already at their staff capacity, so I went back into retail management. Then, after 42 years in management, through out my career, I decided to open my own pet sitting business.  And her I am!  Going on 8 years of service to my clients and ready to take care of your fur family.

SPRING IS COMING!

i am so ready for coolish warm weather! Not a fan of summer! Too hot!

with that said!

Snow and Ice are here!  Make sure your pets do not get out of the house without you.  Cats that are not used to the outdoors will not survive this snow, ice and wind chill that is upon us. Inside cats do not have the skill set to survive a major snow event including the many cold days after. Make sure you know where they are before opening doors.  Children do not pay attention to what is going on around them.  Pets can get out easily if they leave the doors open.  I swear, mine were born in a barn. I had to constantly say, shut the door!

Stay safe!!
